Procedure to open a representative office in Algeria

Should a foreign company decide to set up a branch office in Algeria; the following documents should be submitted to the Ministry of Trade:

1- An application addressed to the General Directorate of Regulation and Organization of Activities,

2- An application form provided by the Ministry of trade,

3- A banking certificate justifying that a bank account is open in convertible Algerian Dinars in a primary bank,

4- Certificate of a deposit of 20.000 USD in a primary bank,

5- The receipt of the registration fee of 100.000DA made to the various contributions collector, in accordance with the provisions of the article 16 of the law N°01/21 dated on 22/12/2001 on the finance law of the year 2002,

6- A copy of the statute of the main company,

7- A certificate of nomination of the liaising branch director and a copy of their passport and their CV,

8- Any supporting documents certifying the existence of the liaising branch premises.
