During his call to Algiers, David Cameron had discussions with President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal. These talks were an opportunity to review the cooperation ties between Algeria and the United Kingdom in the political, military and security, and economic and cultural fields.

David Cameron’s visit that occurred a few days after the terrorist attack on the gas plant of Tiguentourine near In Amenas in Southern Algeria is a clear indicator of friendship and solidarity of the United Kingdom towards Algeria. It represents an important step in reinforcing the relationship between the two countries which developed very positively during the last few years.
