Professional trainings for young Algerian abroad/session beginning February 2014

forma 272540122In the context of implementing the Government’s action plan with respect to members of our national community living abroad and to further strengthen the ties of our fellow citizens with their country of origin,

- On the initiative of the Secretary of State in charge of the National Community Abroad, it is proposed to our fellow citizens living abroad a series of vocational trainings offered by the Ministry of Training and Vocational Education for a new session beginning February 2014.

- Trainings will take place within the facilities of the Ministry of Training and Professional Education and more precisely within dedicated structures located in the wilayas of Algiers, Blida, Oran, Constantine and Setif.

- Accommodation and meals will be provided to the successful candidates by the dedicated structures of the Ministry.


These trainings will be delivered to candidates having completed

  • An 18 month-education sanctioned by a Certificate of Professional Competence (CAP),
  • A 24 month-education sanctioned by a Technician Certificate (BT),
  • A 30 month-education sanctioned by an Advanced Technician Certificate (BTS),


Training courses offered include

  • Advanced Technician Certificate in Automation and Control (Electrics, Electronics),
  • Advanced Technician Certificate of Site Supervisor (Building and public works),
  • Advanced Technician Certificate in Quality Assurance in the food industry,
  • Advanced Technician Certificate in Installation and Maintenance of cold refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment (Electrics, Electronics),
  • Advanced Technician Certificate in Maintenance of light vehicles (Mechanics, engines),
  • Advanced Technician Certificate in Roads system and urban public utilities (building and public works),
  • Advanced Technician Certificate in Mechanics and Production, Cutting (Mechanical and Metallurgical Industries),
  • Advanced Technician Certificate in Industrial Electronics (Electrics, Electronics, Energetics),
  • Advanced Technician Certificate in Maintenance of IT and office equipment (Electrics, Electronics),
  • Technician Certificate in Automotive Electronics,
  • Technician Certificate in Multimedia Assistant,
  • Certificate of Vocational Competence in Sanitary and Gas installation.

 - All fellow citizens living abroad, aged 16 years old, can apply to a training if they fulfil the conditions on the educational level for the requested training

- People interested in a vocational training are first invited to contact the diplomatic and consular missions of the country they live in to fill in a pre-registration form available at the websites at these missions and the Secretary of State's websites :

Celebration of the 51st Anniversary of the Independence

13481As part of the celebration of the 51st Anniversary of the Independence, the Ambassador of Algeria, H.E Amar Abba, delivered a lecture on 6 July 2013 at the Algerian Embassy entitled “Algeria under colonial rule” which was attended by a large audience comprised of representatives of associations and civil society of the Algerian community settled in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

After a coffee break, the lecture was followed by an extensive debate in which some participants questioned the transmission of the knowledge on the History of Algeria to the new generation of Algerians born in the United Kingdom.

26-27 June 2013/Visit to Algeria of Mr Mark Harper, British Minister for Immigration


Mark HarperMr Mark Harper, Minister for Immigration, paid a working visit to Algeria on 26th and 27th June 2013.

Mr Mark Harper met the Algerian Prime Minister, Mr Abdelmalek Sellal, the Minister of Justice, Mr Mohamed Charfi as well as the Secretary of State in charge of National Community Abroad, Mr Belkacem Sahli.

During this visit, the two parties made an evaluation of the bilateral mechanism on the human and consular relations in order to provide both Algerian and British citizens better conditions of travel and stay.

26th June 2013 /Annual dinner of the Algerian-British Business Council


indexThe Ambassador of Algeria, H.E Amar Abba, attended on 26 June 2013 at the Naval and Military Club in St James in London, the Annual Seminar Dinner hosted by Lady Olga Maitland, Chairman of the Algerian-British Business Council (ABBC) on business opportunities in Algeria.

This dinner which brought together about 60 businessmen representing the companies already present in Algeria or interested in doing business in our country, was enhanced by the presence of Lord Marland, Chief of Ambassadors Business Group, and Lord Risby, Special Envoy for the Economic Partnership with Algeria.

The Ambassador took this opportunity to underline the positive evolution of the Algerian-British relations in all areas, highlighting the high level of the political dialogue between the two countries.

H.E Mr Amar Abba also answered the various questions asked by the British businessmen on the business climate of our country.

21st to 24th June 2013/Visit of the school ship Soummam to the United Kingdom

 1373296484 tmp DSC 0077The school ship, the Soummam of the national navy, called at the Port of Portsmouth from 21st to 24th June, 2013.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Algeria, H.E Mr Amar Abba and Colonel Menouer Zidane, the Defense Attaché, were in Portsmouth for a welcoming ceremony of the Soummam with the British authorities of the naval-base of this town.

H.E Mr Abba visited the ship and spoke with the officer cadets and the training officers.
